PM Modi praised RSS from Red Fort, said- we are proud of the 100 years journey of the Sangh

News Topical, Digital Desk : In his address from the ramparts of the Red Fort, Narendra Modi mentioned the completion of 100 years of the establishment of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and said that the country is proud of the journey of this organization's service to the nation. He also said that the RSS is the world's largest NGO and it will continue to inspire. The Prime Minister said, "Today, 100 years ago, an organization was born, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. 100 years of service to the nation is a very proud task. From individual development to the goal of nation building, lakhs of volunteers dedicated their lives for the welfare of Maa Bharati. 

The world's largest NGO

He said, "In a way, this is the world's largest NGO. It has a history of 100 years of dedication." Modi said, "Today, from the ramparts of the Red Fort, I respectfully remember all the volunteers who contributed to this 100-year journey of national service." He said that the country is proud of the 100-year grand, dedicated journey of the RSS.

 It was established on 25 September 1925

It is noteworthy that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was founded on 25 September 1925 and next year the organization is going to complete its 100 years. On this occasion, the Prime Minister's praise of the Sangh from the Red Fort is being seen as an important development.

The foundation of RSS was laid in Nagpur

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was founded on September 27, 1925, on the day of Vijayadashami, in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Its founder was Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, who was a doctor and freedom fighter. He laid the foundation of the Sangh with the aim of making the Hindu community organized, disciplined and strong.

Sangha lays emphasis on personality development

The Sangh emphasizes on personality development, through which such characterful and patriotic citizens can be prepared who can contribute to nation building. The RSS describes itself as a socio-cultural organization, not a political party. However, many of its volunteers and office bearers are active in various political and social organizations including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The RSS has been actively involved in relief and rehabilitation work in times of various disasters such as floods, earthquakes and droughts.
