News Topical, Digital Desk : Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has revealed that his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lara Dhawan is suffering from Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH).
Due to this condition, Varun and Natasha Dalal's daughter had difficulty walking. Varun discussed Lara's illness on the Be a Man, Yaar podcast.
Which disease is Varun Dhawan's daughter suffering from?
Varun Dhawan says his daughter hasn't undergone surgery. She was treated through a procedure. In the podcast, the actor said, " My daughter suffers from DDH, a condition where the hip pops out of the hip socket. One leg becomes longer and the other shorter, causing a crooked gait. You can't walk or run properly."
Treatment of DDH disease
Varun Dhawan further said, "You get arthritis early, slip disc early. There is very good treatment for it in the West, but not everywhere in India. But here too there are very good doctors who take care of it. He did not need surgery."
How is Varun Dhawan's daughter now?
Varun said, " They could have put the hip back through a procedure but she had to be in a spica cast. This means she had to be in the cast for 2.5 months which is very difficult. She had to be put under anesthesia and then she woke up in the cast. Now the cast is off. I want to write a book on this."
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal married in 2021. Three years after their wedding, they welcomed a daughter in 2024. The couple keeps their daughter away from the limelight.
