But did you know that Supriya's mother, actress Dina Pathak, didn't want her to marry Pankaj Kapur in the early days of their relationship? Dina constantly persuaded Supriya to refuse the marriage.

Mother Dina did not like Pankaj

Supriya, accompanied by her daughter Sana Kapoor, spoke about the mother-daughter relationship during an interview with Hotterfly. The actress also focused on the bond she shares with her mother, Dina.

Dina Pathak lied many times

Supriya further explained that he repeatedly lied to her and tried to break the relationship. "Finally, one day I told him that it wasn't like that and we were going to get married. If you want to come, come; if you don't want to come, don't come." He looked at me as if this was the limit... He asked, "Do you like paneer?" I said, "I do." He said, "Well, no, he's Punjabi, so paneer..." Meaning, if you don't like paneer, you can't marry him. That's where it ended."

However, Supriya revealed that before her mother's death, her thoughts suddenly changed completely. She began to believe that Pankaj was a genuine person and even began to like him. Supriya and Pankaj have two children from their marriage: daughter Sana and son Ruhaan. Pankaj Kapoor also has a son, Shahid Kapoor, from his first marriage.
