Karan Johar is preparing to develop a series based on a film he directed, which he revealed in a recent interview. The film is titled "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna." Released in 2006, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Kirron Kher.

In a recent interview, when Karan Johar was asked if he would consider making a web series based on one of his films, Karan replied, "We are making a web series based on the film Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. We are adapting the story of the film into a long-form web series."
Why was there controversy regarding the film?
The story of 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' revolves around an extramarital affair. The film faced a lot of criticism for glorifying extramarital affairs. Karan Johar said, “When the film was released in 2006, the response was mixed. Many people came to me and asked if I was okay. Many people also said, how can you glorify infidelity? I told them, how can I glorify something that is already happening in society.”
On which OTT will the series on 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' be aired?
Karan stated that he cannot reveal which OTT platform the film's adaptation will be released on, but an announcement will be made soon. It will be interesting to see which stars Karan casts in this web series.
