News Topical, Digital Desk : Having completed nine months of training, the female trainees are now ready to enter the field. This will invigorate both law and order in the district and women's safety. The district police received a major boost with the passing out parade, scheduled for the morning of April 26th at the Police Lines parade ground.

A total of 493 female trainees were trained at the Gorakhpur Police Lines as part of the basic training campaign, which began on July 21, 2025. They were trained in modern policing, law and order, crowd control, and practical skills. Following the passing out parade, 256 of these female constables were deployed in Gorakhpur district, while 237 were sent to Kushinagar.

In addition, 983 more female constables were recruited from other training institutions. All these constables will now be sent to various police stations in the district for practical training. This will increase the efficiency of the police stations and strengthen the police force at the grassroots level.

SSP Dr. Kaustubh stated that the presence of female police officers will expedite the resolution of women-related cases. They will also provide additional support to the police in maintaining law and order. Range DIG Dr. S. Chanappa was the chief guest at the passing out parade.
