News Topical, Digital Desk : Following the inauguration of the first phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, a war of words has erupted between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Samajwadi Party. Amidst this debate, Bahujan Samaj Party national president Mayawati has issued a significant statement. The BSP supremo has hinted that if her government comes to power, Uttar Pradesh could be divided.

BSP supremo Mayawati blamed the Samajwadi Party and the Congress government at the center for the delay in the construction of the Noida airport, saying that if these governments hadn't obstructed the project, this development would have been completed under her own administration. Mayawati also mentioned the creation of a separate state for western Uttar Pradesh and the High Court, sparking speculation about the division of Uttar Pradesh.

BSP supremo made the claim by posting

Mayawati wrote on her social media account X - 'After a long wait, the first phase of Noida International Airport in Jewar was inaugurated yesterday, whereas not only its outline but all its necessary basic work had started during my BSP government.

Not only this, but if the Congress Party government which was in power at the Centre at that time had not created hurdles, then this development work, like Yamuna Expressway etc., would have been completed much earlier during my government itself.

As far as the SP government is concerned, instead of doing concrete development work to remove poverty and backwardness of Uttar Pradesh, most of their time was spent in negative, casteist and political hatred, especially in neutralizing the historical decisions and important works done by the BSP government for the benefit, welfare and upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, as well as changing the names of educational and medical institutions and districts etc. built in honor and respect of great saints, gurus and great men born in the Bahujan Samaj, and ignoring and neglecting the places, monuments and parks etc. built in their names, which is not hidden from anyone.

Therefore, in view of all this, there is an appeal to the people of UP that they should not fall prey to the deceptive politics and misleading of the opposition parties and should trust the BSP's policy and principle of 'Sarvajan Hitaya and Sarvajan Sukhaya' and should rely only on the iron leadership of BSP for their own and the state's development.

“Also, when will the dream of establishing a separate High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh and creating a separate state for them be fulfilled?” Mayawati’s post clearly indicates that if her government comes to power, the effort to create a separate state for Western Uttar Pradesh will resume.

Western UP will become a separate state

It should be noted that Mayawati wanted to divide Uttar Pradesh into four parts for its development. In 2011, her government even introduced a formal proposal for this, which was passed and sent to the central government. However, the matter stalled after the central government passed the resolution. Meanwhile, on various occasions in the past few days, some Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have demanded the division of the state. Sanjay Singh in Amethi and Sanjeev Baliyan in Muzaffarnagar have raised this demand.
