Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding Dhurandhar 2, which is creating new history at the box office, 'Bhooth Bangla' director Priyadarshan has broken his silence on calling it propaganda.
What did Priyadarshan say when Dhurandhar 2 was called propaganda?
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Priyadarshan explained that India has accepted Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. He said, " There's no propaganda. You're simply bringing the truth to the people. When the whole of India has accepted it, why should the opinions of a few people matter?"
Priyadarshan spoke on the success of the film
Priyadarshan explained his point by referring to the success of Dhurandhar 2. He said, "India has seen it and accepted it. There are no bigger hits than this. Do you think people who have seen the film are fools? That's people's opinion, leave it to them. Don't oppose it. Forget it. It has become a success."
Priyadarshan was a mentor to Aditya Dhar, the director of Dhurandhar 2. Aditya has assisted him on several films. His mentor Priyadarshan is very happy with Aditya's success.
Priyadarshan's upcoming film
Priyadarshan is currently making headlines for his upcoming film, Bhooth Bangla. The horror-comedy film marks his return to the screen with Akshay Kumar after a decade and a half. The film is scheduled to release on April 10th. The film also stars Tabu, Vamika Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, the late actor Israni, and Rajpal Yadav.
Priyadarshan is also working on the upcoming film "Haiwan" with Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. Shooting is currently underway.
