News Topical, Digital Desk : The Commissionerate Police is fully alert in view of the Home Guard Recruitment Examination-2025. On the first day of the examination, the Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order and Headquarters) inspected various examination centers, major routes, and sensitive locations to review the security arrangements and issued strict instructions to the officers.
This exam, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, is being conducted at 45 centers across the district on April 25, 26, and 27, 2026. The exam is being held in two shifts—the first shift from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and the second shift from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. More than 40,000 candidates are expected to appear each day, with the total number expected to exceed 120,000 over the three days.
According to the police administration, in view of the large number of candidates arriving from nearby districts including Ballia, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mau, Mirzapur and Prayagraj, extensive security and traffic management arrangements have been made to ensure that the examination is conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner. During the inspection, the Additional Commissioner of Police visited several centres including JP Mehta Inter College, UP College and Rani Murar Girls Inter College. Here, the entry of candidates, identity card verification, CCTV surveillance, crowd control and police deployment were closely inspected.
Officers have been instructed to remain vigilant at all duty points, prevent unnecessary crowding around examination centers, and keep a close watch on suspicious activities. Traffic police and local police stations have been asked to coordinate to ensure smooth traffic flow on major routes. Police have also clarified that strict action will be taken immediately against those who spread rumors, interfere with the examination process, or engage in any kind of irregularity. Social media is also being monitored closely during the examination period.
Appeal to the Public:
The Additional Commissioner of Police has appealed to the public to avoid crowding around examination centers and to cooperate with the police in maintaining traffic. Candidates and their parents have also been appealed to maintain peace and discipline and to ignore any rumors.
