Within 10 days of its release, Dhurandhar 2 has wiped out many super-duper hit films at the box office and this list also includes Prabhas' blockbuster Baahubali 2.

Baahubali 2 lags behind Dhurandhar 2

Baahubali 2, directed by SS Rajamouli, was the highest-grossing Indian film in North America. The film made history by grossing $20 million (approximately ₹188 crore) in North America.

Baahubali 2 breaks 9 year old record

For nine years, Baahubali 2's record remained unbroken, but now Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar 2 has shattered the Prabhas film's record. According to Box Office Mojo, Dhurandhar 2 has become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America to date. It has grossed $22 million (approximately Rs. 207 crores).

Baahubali 2 makers react

The makers of Baahubali 2 have reacted to this major achievement of Dhurandhar 2. The Baahubali team reshared producer Shobhu's tweet and wrote, "Many congratulations to Aditya Dhar and the team of Dhurandhar The Revenge for breaking Baahubali 2's 9-year-old record and setting a new box office benchmark in India, USA and worldwide."

Meanwhile, 'Baahubali 2' producer Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted, “Yesterday I saw Dhurandhar The Revenge and needless to say, I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the film. I am very happy to see it breaking all records and setting new benchmarks at the box office in India as well as worldwide. Congratulations to the entire team.”
