The cockpit crew decided to abort the take-off following standard operating procedures. All passengers have disembarked and are being assisted by our ground colleagues in Delhi. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to this unexpected disruption. An Air India spokesperson said, "At Air India, passenger safety and well-being is of utmost priority."
Flight veers off runway at Mumbai airport
An Air India flight coming from Kochi led to a tense situation at the Mumbai airport on Monday when the aircraft veered off the runway while landing amid heavy rains.
