New Delhi: Japan has imposed sanctions on 10 companies from several countries, including an Indian technology firm, for allegedly helping Russia as Western nations and their allies impose tough trade and economic sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.

It is alleged that these companies helped Russia to avoid trade sanctions. The names of these companies could not be obtained. Japan's Foreign Ministry has announced action against these companies, including asset seizure and export ban. These companies include companies from India, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.

It was announced in G-7

The Japanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Japan has taken this action under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act. Last week, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said at the G-7 summit in Italy that his government was imposing sanctions on companies that are helping Russia evade economic sanctions.
