According to AP, the Ruidoso River also overflowed in New Mexico, adjacent to Texas, after heavy rains. More than 200 houses were damaged due to the floods. Local emergency officials have warned that the number of damaged houses may increase as survey work is going on in the hilly areas. One man and two children died in the floods on Tuesday.

 

So far 120 people have died in the Texas floods

The death toll in the devastating floods in the US state of Texas has risen to 120. While 161 people are still reported missing. A massive search operation is being carried out to find the missing people in the floods that occurred last week.

State officials said on Thursday that about 2,100 emergency workers were working to rescue and relief operations in Kerr County, the worst-hit county by floods. The county suffered the most damage to life and property, with the most people killed and missing.
