News Topical, Digital Desk : The threat of war on the border between Thailand and Cambodia is not completely over yet. Thailand alleges that three of its soldiers were injured when a landmine exploded during patrolling on the border. Cambodia, on the other hand, has completely rejected these allegations.

According to the Thai army, a terrible explosion took place while patrolling the border at around 10 am on Saturday. Three soldiers were badly injured in this.

Violation of the Ottawa Convention: Thailand

According to Thai army spokeswoman Winthai Suwari, the incident is proof that Cambodia is using dangerous weapons on the border. This is a violation of the Ottawa Convention.

According to Winthai,

If Cambodia continues to use weapons on the border in this manner, it could thwart ceasefire efforts and make it difficult to establish peace in the region.

Cambodia denies

However, Cambodia has denied Thailand's claims. The Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) said on Saturday evening, “We have not laid any new mines along the border. There has been no concrete evidence of a landmine explosion along the border and the injury of three soldiers.”

The ceasefire took place on 7 August
