Kolkata: In the case of rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee woman doctor of Kolkata, the CBI questioned Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, for the fourth consecutive day. The questioning was going on till late night when the news was written. The central agency has questioned Dr. Ghosh for 37 hours in three days.

According to sources, the former principal is giving incorrect information. Discrepancies have been found in his statement. It does not match with the statements of witnesses. The central agency has also expressed apprehension that many facts have been deleted from Dr. Ghosh's mobile.

According to sources, the investigating officer is not satisfied with the answers of Dr. Ghosh during the continuous interrogation. On this day, CBI has interrogated four medical students of the hospital by doing RG. These students had dinner with the victim on the night of the incident. CBI is trying to bring out the truth of what happened that night in the hospital. On the other hand, the CBI team again reached the victim's house on this day. They talked to the victim's close friends. Apart from this, the CBI team also visited the crime scene of the hospital.

Accused Sanjay Rai will undergo polygraph test

-Polygraph test will be conducted on Sanjay Rai, the accused arrested in this murder case. According to CBI sources, permission has been received from the court to conduct polygraph test of the accused. CBI will soon decide when the test will be conducted. CBI has conducted psychological test of suspect Sanjay Rai with the help of CFSL officials from Delhi.

The accused had gone to the brothel before the incident

On the same day, CBI investigators went to the Police Headquarters Lalbazar to collect footage from CCTV cameras installed on various roads of Kolkata. Investigators have found out that the accused Sanjay Rai had gone to a brothel that night before the incident. CBI is also collecting CCTV footage of the road there.

The police had asked to perform the last rites quickly

An employee of the crematorium in Panihati, adjacent to Kolkata, where the victim's body was cremated, claims that the police had asked to conduct the last rites quickly. However, the police say that there was a huge crowd during the funeral and they were asked to conduct the funeral quickly so that there is no problem of traffic and crowd management in the area.

Woman officer investigating Hathras case joins CBI team

-Officer Seema Pahuja has also joined the CBI team in this case. She had earlier investigated the Hathras rape case in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from Hathras, she has earned praise within the Central Bureau of Investigation as an investigating officer in many important cases.

Post-mortem report mentions sexual assault

The postmortem report of the lady doctor mentions that she was sexually assaulted and killed by strangulation and by pressing her nose and mouth. There are more than 14 injury marks on the victim's body, which point towards a serious assault. The report also mentions that something was forcefully inserted in her private parts. There was a blood clot (bleeding) in the lungs of the deceased. There were blood clots in some other parts of the body as well. However, there is no mention of 150 milligrams of semen being found in the body of the deceased, as was reported earlier in the media. But the report says that a white thick sticky liquid has been collected from the tube inside the victim's private parts. Its weight is said to be 151 milligrams. It has been sent for forensic examination. At the same time, there is no mention of any bone fracture in the victim's body in the postmortem report. Earlier, the media had reported that the bones of some parts of the victim were broken.
