News Topical, Digital Desk : A 14-year-old boy suffered a horrific accident while flying a kite in Lala Toli, Ilahibagh, on Monday morning. Falling from a rooftop, he landed on a protruding iron rod, which pierced his chest and neck.

The child, in critical condition, lay in agony for about an hour. With the help of the police, the iron rod was cut and he was taken to the hospital, where doctors performed an operation and saved his life.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m. According to mother Aditi Srivastava, her son, Harsh Srivastava, was flying a kite on the rooftop. She called him down twice, but after a while, he climbed onto the tin shed near the stairs and began flying his kite again. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell down.

As he fell, he became stuck on an iron rod protruding from a pillar under construction. The rod pierced his chest and went through his neck. Hearing the child's scream, his mother and tenant Akash, who were present in the house, rushed to the scene. The family was stunned by the condition of their son.

Locals immediately advised that removing the rod could be fatal, so the child should be taken to the hospital in that condition. Meanwhile, Tiwaripur police also arrived at the scene, responding to the information. A nearby craftsman was called and the rod was carefully cut so that the child could be safely transported to the hospital. The family took the child, covered in blood, to the district hospital.

Considering the severity of the case, doctors formed a team and began the operation. After a lot of effort, the iron rod stuck in the neck was successfully removed. According to doctors, timely decisions and immediate hospitalization saved the child's life. Currently, his condition is reported to be stable and he is under observation.
