Israel Hezbollah War: The death toll in Friday's air strikes in Lebanon's capital Beirut has risen to 31, including seven women and three children. The country's Health Minister Firas Abiad gave this information on Saturday. Abiad told reporters here that 68 people were also injured in this attack, of which 15 are hospitalized. According to him, this was the deadliest Israeli air strike since the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war.
Hezbollah commander killed
Those killed in this attack by Israel include Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqeel and about a dozen members of this terrorist organization. At the time of the attack, all of them were meeting in the basement of a building. The concerned building has also been destroyed in the attack. Aqeel was in charge of Hezbollah's 'Radwan Forces'. Abiad said that three Syrian civilians have also been killed in this attack.
Journalists were taken to the site of the attack
On Friday, the Israeli military said that 11 Hezbollah members, including Aqeel, were killed in the attack. Israel launched airstrikes in the densely populated southern Beirut area on Friday afternoon when people were returning from work and students from schools. On Saturday morning, Hezbollah's media office took journalists to the site of the attack where people were removing debris.
Hezbollah also bombed
Lebanese troops cordoned off the area after the attacks and were seen preventing people from reaching the building destroyed in the attack. Hours before Friday's deadly Israeli attack, Hezbollah also launched heavy bombing in northern Israel, targeting Israeli military bases
