According to astrological calculations, from Devshayani Ekadashi to Devuthani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu goes into a four-month period of yogic sleep, known as Chaturmas. During this period, all auspicious activities, including marriage, are prohibited. Auspicious marriage muhurats begin only after Chaturmas ends.
