According to the Vedic calendar, the Ekadashi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the Phalguna month begins on February 12th at 12:22 PM. This Tithi will end on February 13th at 2:25 PM. Therefore, the Vijaya Ekadashi fast will be observed on February 13th (When is Vijaya Ekadashi 2026) and the fast will be broken the next day.

Rules of Vijaya Ekadashi
- During the Ekadashi fast, one must follow the rules. This ensures the devotee receives the full benefits of the fast and pleases Lord Vishnu.
- Eat satvik food on the night of Dashami Tithi.
- Do not consume rice even by mistake on Ekadashi day.
- After taking bath in the morning, take a vow of fasting in front of Lord Vishnu.
- Offer yellow flowers, fruits and basil leaves to the Lord.
- Light a lamp of desi ghee and perform aarti.
- Recite the fast story.
- Chant the mantra 'Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevay'.
- After breaking the fast, donating things like food, money, clothes etc. in the temple or at home creates the possibility of financial gain and increases happiness and prosperity.
