
News Topical, Digital Desk : Auto sector giant Tata Motors has released the July sales figures. According to the company, its total sales have fallen by 4 percent in the month of July. Passenger vehicle sales have also seen a decline on a year-on-year basis. Sales have also come down in the domestic market. However, commercial vehicle sales have increased by 7 percent compared to last year. Tata Motors stock is seeing a decline today and the stock is currently trading with a decline of more than 2 percent.
How were the sales figures?
Tata Motors' total sales fell 4% year-on-year to 69,131 units, while it was 71,996 units in the same month last year. Total passenger vehicle sales fell 11% to 40,175 units, which was 44,954 units last year. At the same time, total commercial vehicle sales registered a growth of 7% and it was 28,956 units, which was 27,042 units earlier. Total sales in the domestic market fell 6% to 65,953 units, while it was 70,161 units in the same period last year.
And which company released the figures? Along with this, SML Isuzu has also released sales figures. The company's total sales increased 18.6% year-on-year and it was 1,427 units, while it was 1,203 units in July last year. Total passenger vehicle sales grew 7.5% to 978 units from 910 units in the previous year. Commercial vehicle sales grew by a whopping 53.2% to 449 units from 293 units in July last year.
