Meanwhile, the state government has terminated the accused, Dr. Raghav, which has infuriated the Resident Doctors' Association. Resident doctors are demanding the government revoke Dr. Raghav's termination. The Resident Doctors' Association of IGMC called for a mass leave on Friday (December 26th), causing significant inconvenience to patients.

A delegation from the Resident Doctors Association met with the Chief Minister at his Oakover residence on Friday morning (December 26th) to discuss the matter. They demanded the revocation of Dr. Raghav's termination. They also demanded action against those who vandalized the hospital on the day of the incident, intimidated the doctor, and increased security for doctors.

What did the President of Resident Doctors Association say?

Resident Doctors Association President Sohail Sharma said that the Chief Minister has listened to all demands seriously and has assured a re-investigation. All doctors are on a day off today, and a general house meeting will be held in the evening to decide the future course of action.

On the other hand, hospital patients are facing difficulties due to the Resident Doctors' Association's leave. At IGMC, 450 doctors went on leave simultaneously on Friday. Additionally, 50% of the doctors have been on leave since December 22nd. Patients are unable to find doctors in the OPD. Patients say that the doctors' conflict is causing problems.

A fierce fight broke out between a doctor and a patient

A few days ago, a fierce fight broke out between a doctor and a patient at Shimla's IGMC Hospital. A video of this spread rapidly on social media. The doctor is seen repeatedly kicking and punching the patient. The patient's family demanded action against the doctor. The doctor was suspended by the government. 

Following the action taken against the doctor, the Resident Doctors Association has come out in his support. The association is demanding the revocation of his suspension.
