News Topical, Digital Desk : Rajasthan's renowned storyteller, Sadhvi Prem Baisa, will be laid to rest with full ceremonial rites today (January 30, 2026) in her native village of Pareu (Balotra district). An atmosphere of mourning and reverence has prevailed in Pareu since her passing. She had been following the path of religion and spirituality since the age of 12, but passed away at the age of 25. A large number of devotees, saints, and villagers from far and wide traveled to pay their last respects.

I had trouble breathing after returning to the ashram. 

Sadhvi Prem Baisa returned to Jodhpur's Aarti Nagar Ashram on Tuesday (January 27) after completing a Katha in Ajmer. The next day, she began experiencing difficulty breathing. A compounder administered an injection. As her condition worsened, she was taken to a private hospital on Pal Road, where she died.

It is reported that Sadhvi Prem Baisa's body was brought to Pareu from Jodhpur on Wednesday (January 28). A dispute arose during the post-mortem on Thursday (January 29), but the situation was brought under control with the presence of the administration and police. The burial ceremony will be held today in Pareu village.

A large number of people reached village Pareu to pay tribute to him.

According to locals, Sadhvi Prem Baisa's life was filled with struggle, devotion, and meditation. After her mother's death at the age of five, she moved with her family to an ashram in Jodhpur. Living in the company of saints, she developed a special identity in storytelling and bhajan singing. After giving her first narration at the age of 12, her fame gradually grew.

The administration has deployed adequate police force to maintain peace and order at the Samadhi site. Arrangements have been made for the convenience of devotees. A large number of people are gathering in the village of Pareu today to pay their respects to Sadhvi Prem Baisa, immersing the entire area in a devotional atmosphere.
