Bhajanlal Sharma On Rajasthan Data Center: In view of the increasing utility of data centers in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has implemented the Rajasthan Data Center Policy-2025. The CM had announced to bring a data center policy in the state budget 2024-25. The goal of Rajasthan Data Center Policy-2025 is to make Rajasthan a major hub of data centers by developing a world-class data center ecosystem in the state.

According to CM Bhajanlal Sharma, 'This policy will make the efficiency, security and reliability of the activities of the data center to be set up in the state effective. It will also help in setting guidelines to ensure high standards of data management, performance and security in Rajasthan.

Announcement of giving Sunrise Incentive to these companies

CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that several steps have been taken to encourage the data center sector. These include annual asset creation incentive of Rs 10 to 20 crore for 10 years, 25 per cent additional sunrise incentive to the first 3 data centres investing more than Rs 100 crore, 5 per cent interest subsidy for 5 years, 100 per cent exemption in banking, transmission and wheeling charges, flexible payment facility related to land, exemption in stamp duty, land conversion and electricity charges and exemption from external development fee up to Rs 10 crore.

Rajasthan Data Center Policy 2025 also pays special attention to environmental protection and increasing the efficiency of personnel. Under this, 50 percent reimbursement of the amount spent to improve the efficiency of data center employees, 50 percent reimbursement up to Rs 12.5 crore as Green Solution Incentive, 50 percent assistance up to Rs 1 crore on GI tag, patent, copyright and trademark registration, exemption in buildings bylaws and provision of continuous power supply are included.

Investment will be boosted in the state

Rajasthan Data Center Policy-2025 will prove to be helpful in creating a favorable environment to attract investment in the state and accelerate data center expansion. This policy includes new initiatives like recognizing data centers as essential services and making special provisions in building bylaws.
