Shahjahanpur. A tragic accident took place in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Friday morning. There was a collision between a bus and a truck on the Lucknow Delhi National Highway on Friday morning. The bus going from Kushinagar to Hapur rammed into a truck parked on the roadside, due to which a woman passenger from Meerut died. While more than 12 were injured. The condition of five is critical. Truck and bus drivers ran away.

The roadways bus of Padrauna depot was going from Kushinagar to Hapur with 33 passengers. On reaching Tilhar in the morning, she rammed into a truck parked on the side of the highway. In this collision, the female passenger from Meerut died on the spot.

One was dead, and five were in critical condition

In this accident, Anju Rani, a resident of village Mandora of Dorala police station, Meerut, died on the spot. Injured Mahatma Gupta, resident of Udham Singh Nagar, Suhasan, resident of Khajuria, Padrauna, Shalu, resident of Bisauli, Badaun, their three-month-old daughter and bus conductor Ravi Kumar Sharma, resident of Ramkola, Kushinagar, have been referred to the Government Medical College.

Drivers are being searched

CO Prayank Jain said that the driver had parked the truck due to a punctured tire. Other passengers were sent to their destination in another vehicle. The drivers are being searched.
