Wake up in the morning and after taking a bath, offer water to the Sun God. After this, worship the gods and goddesses. Light a lamp and worship Tulsi. Perform Aarti and chant mantras. Do not eat food before offering water to Tulsi . While offering water to Tulsi Mata, say 'Om Subhadraya Namah'. You can chant this mantra 11 or 21 times.

According to the scriptures, watering the Tulsi plant is prohibited on Ekadashi. It is believed that on this day, Mother Tulsi keeps a waterless fast for Lord Vishnu. In such a situation, watering the plant can break her fast, due to which she can get angry and the person may have to face many problems in life.
