Tokyo. An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude hit Japan's Ishikawa province on Monday morning. People came out of their homes in fear due to the earthquake. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake occurred at 6:31 am on Monday. It is said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 10 kilometers deep below the ground.

Along with this, tremors of less than five magnitude on the Richter scale were also felt in Noto city. At the same time, tremors of magnitude 4 were recorded in Nanao and Anamizu cities as well as parts of Niigata Prefecture.

However, authorities have not confirmed any tsunami threat.
