Kamala Harris leads in the survey

According to the Ipsos survey published on Thursday, Democrat Kamala Harris is currently ahead of Republican Donald Trump by 5 percent votes in the race for the US presidential election to be held on November 5. In fact, in the survey, Kamala is ahead by 42 percent and Trump by 37 percent.

The survey found that Harris's lead has increased since a Reuters and Ipsos survey, which gave her a 5 percentage point lead over Trump.

In this survey conducted between August 2 and 7, 4 percent of the 2,045 Americans supported independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr., whereas this figure was 10 percent in July.

Ipsos conducted the survey independently from Reuters in August. The poll, conducted online, had a margin of error of about 3 percentage points. Kamala Harris joined the election race on July 21 when 81-year-old President Joe Biden suspended his campaign and endorsed Harris after a poor performance in the June 27 debate against Trump.
