News Topical, Digital Desk : The teaser for Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited film "Ramayan" is releasing today on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. This marks the beginning of the film's worldwide promotions, as well as its first official look. The teaser will offer a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor's character as Lord Rama. Titled "Rama," the teaser has already been shown at special screenings in Los Angeles and New York, sparking heightened excitement for the film.
While Ravi Dubey is gearing up for his Bollywood debut as Laxman in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan, his wife Sargun Mehta had earlier made a shocking revelation that she had no idea about Ravi's role.
Sargun didn't know about Ravi Dubey working in Ramayan
Last year, while speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, Sargun revealed that Ravi never discussed the project with her, not even when news about the film started surfacing online. Sargun Mehta said, "We don't talk much about work at home. Just like Ravi doesn't know about my work until my projects are announced, I also don't know about Ravi's work until it's out in the open."
Sargun revealed that she learned about Ravi's casting from someone else, and even then, she avoided asking Ravi directly about it. "Someone suddenly said to me, 'Congratulations, Ravi...' and I said, 'Shut up. I don't know what you're talking about, we're not allowed to tell each other, so don't tell me.' Then I read about it somewhere, and thought, 'He didn't even tell me, so I can't ask him!'"
'Going to work'
Even while shooting for Ranbir Kapoor's film, Ravi reportedly didn't explain things clearly. Sargun said she had no idea he was working on a film set because he never revealed any details. She said, "Whenever I asked Ravi where he was going, he would simply say, 'Going to work,' without mentioning that he was shooting a film."
Eventually, his curiosity got the better of him, leading him to take a rather surprising step. "I had no idea what was going on on the set. A couple of times, I even asked the driver, 'How's the atmosphere on the set?'" Ravi added with a laugh, "And that wasn't about me, but about Ranbir (Kapoor)."
