According to reports, a 13-year-old girl who went missing as a child more than three decades ago has been found alive. Officials said the blue-eyed and blonde-haired girl went missing in May 1994 after visiting her horse at a stable near her home. 

New technology brought success

Missing person posters issued at the time stated she was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, colorful shorts and black tennis shoes. The Gila County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday that Christina Marie Plante, who vanished decades ago without a trace from Star Valley, a small town northeast of Phoenix, has recently been found. The breakthrough came after a new lead suddenly emerged in the case.

Officials did not say how she was found, but they said technological advances helped generate new leads in the investigation. It's also not yet clear exactly when or where she was found. Her disappearance was considered suspicious, and authorities had expressed concern that she might be in danger. According to officials, Christina's name was entered into a national database for missing children, and posters with her photo were distributed throughout the state and other parts of the country.

The investigation continued for 30 years

He added that the case remained open and active for many years. Investigators periodically re-examined evidence and continued to investigate new information as it became available. Authorities have confirmed that after 32 years, Christina Marie Plante has been found alive.
