News Topical, Digital Desk : The Mexican government has confirmed that its military has killed a dreaded drug lord known as El Mencho. Nemesio Oseguera Ruben Cervantes, also known as El Mencho, was a major leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, carrying a $15 million bounty on his head.

The death of one of Mexico's most wanted criminals has sparked retaliatory attacks in several states. Cartel members are demonstrating their strength in response to the death of their leader. Meanwhile, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum praised the military operation on Twitter (formerly Twitter) and urged people to remain calm.

Where did Mencho live?

El Mencho was in Tapalpa, a city of about 20,000 in Jalisco. It is the base of El Mencho's cartel. He was wounded in a shootout with soldiers and died while being transported to Mexico City for treatment.

Four people were killed and three soldiers were injured.

" During the operation, troops came under fire and four people were killed at the scene. Three others, including Oseguera Cervantes, were injured and later died, " the military said . America provided intelligence

Although the operation was carried out by the Mexican military, the intelligence was provided by the US government. White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt described El Mencho as one of the top traffickers and praised the Mexican military.

US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau described Mencho as one of the bloodiest and most ruthless drug kingpins and said, "This is a huge deal for Mexico, the United States, Latin America and the world. The good guys are stronger than the bad guys."
