News Topical, Digital Desk : Today, on Shivratri of the holy month of Sawan, crores of Kanwadias and devotees are performing Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva in Shiv temples across the country. There has been a rush of devotees in the temples since midnight and the atmosphere has become devotional with the chants of Har Har Mahadev. Devotees are worshipping Lord Ashutosh with water, milk, curd and ghee. In the famous Mahakal temple of Ujjain, Lord Mahakal was anointed with Vedic mantras in the morning. This was followed by Bhasma Aarti, in which devotees participated enthusiastically. After the worship, the process of darshan started with Maha Aarti.

Ghaziabad: As the Kanwar Yatra moves towards its final leg, Kanwar pilgrims are moving towards their destinations on trucks and motorcycles.

On Sawan Shivratri, Shiva devotees worship Lord Shiva and perform Jalabhishek of Shivling in the auspicious time as per rituals. It is believed that all the wishes of those who worship Bholenath with true devotion on this holy day are fulfilled.
