
News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday led the 'Swadeshi Apnao-Rashtra Ko Aage Badhao' public awareness campaign in Dehradun's Paltan Bazaar. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inspired local traders, voluntary organizations and citizens to use indigenous products as much as possible.
The Chief Minister said that this campaign is a strong effort to reach out to the masses the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Vocal for Local'. He said that when we give priority to the goods manufactured in our country, both the country's economic condition and local employment will be strengthened.
"It is national duty to adopt Swadeshi"
On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said that adopting Swadeshi is not just an economic decision but a national duty. By adopting the mantra of "Adopt Swadeshi, Make the Country Strong" given by the Prime Minister, we can not only strengthen the country's economy but also make local producers, craftsmen and small entrepreneurs self-reliant.
Chief Minister Dhami appealed to the traders to put Swadeshi nameplates on their shops, so that consumers develop a sense of trust and pride towards Swadeshi. He also said that by using Swadeshi goods, not only will our country's money remain in the country, but India will also emerge stronger on the global stage.
Resolve to participate in the creation of a self-reliant India
During the program, the Chief Minister visited the shops of Paltan Bazaar and put up stickers of "Adopt Swadeshi - Make the Nation Strong". He urged people to give priority to Swadeshi options in festivals, gifts and daily use. The Chief Minister said that this would not only be an inspirational initiative, but it would also strengthen our cultural identity and the resolve of self-reliant India.
During this, a large number of public representatives, officials of trade unions, voluntary organizations and citizens present together took a pledge to adopt Swadeshi and participate in the creation of a self-reliant India and extended their support to the Chief Minister. Local youth, traders and social organizations also actively participated in the program. The people present supported the campaign with the slogan "Adopt Swadeshi – Save the Country". On this occasion, public representatives including Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt and a large number of local people, traders and businessmen were present.
