News Topical, Digital Desk : An omni bus rammed into a tractor near Semmadai in Karur district, following which it collided with a tourist van travelling in the opposite direction. Four people were killed and 15 injured in the incident.
The van driver also died
Police said the van driver was among the dead and the injured were admitted to a nearby government hospital for treatment. According to police, the omni bus was going from Bengaluru to Nagercoil.
Police said the Omni bus collided with a tractor on the Karur-Salem highway and due to the collision, the bus turned to the right, broke the divider and collided with a tourist van coming from Thoothukudi from the opposite direction.
All three vehicles were damaged
Due to this severe collision, the front parts of the Omni bus, tractor and van were badly damaged. At present, the police have registered a case and investigation is going on regarding the incident.
