On Friday, she visited the National Institute for Empowerment of the Visually Handicapped (NIEPVD) located in Dehradun. During this, the blind children present there wished President Draupadi Murmu a happy birthday by singing a song on the occasion of her 67th birthday. Hearing the emotional singing of the children, President Draupadi Murmu could not control herself and tears started flowing from her eyes. President Murmu also addressed the children during this time. The President said that she could not stop her tears. In her address, President Murmu said that Divyang children definitely have some special talent. During this, she said that schemes have been made by the government to empower the Divyangjans, which are aimed at giving them equal opportunities and empowering them. She praised all the people associated with the institute. Let us tell you that on Saturday (21 June), the President will participate in a program organized by the state government to commemorate International Yoga Day, which shows her support for health and traditional Indian health practices.

On the occasion of President Draupadi Murmu's birthday, PM Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi wished her on her birthday by breaking party lines.
