He added that if the voter list is clean, things like fake voters and booth capturing will be impossible. He also instructed officials regarding the shortcomings at the Magh Mela.

A jibe at Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav had expressed security concerns regarding the large crowds at major temples in the state on New Year's Eve. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya responded, "He needn't worry; the government is fully alert. He should recall his own tenure regarding security arrangements at religious sites." He added, "The awakening of a sense of Indian culture, especially among the youth, is a result of the BJP government. People who previously spent New Year's Eve in Goa indulging in vulgar activities are now visiting religious sites with their families. This is a welcome change in the mindset of the youth."

Speaking on SIRIt's important to purify the voter list

Regarding SIR, the Deputy CM said, "After the completion of SIR, approximately 2.89 crore people's names have been deleted because so many of the forms given to voters were not returned." He clarified that the BJP's goal is to completely purify the voter list. He further said, "Only genuine voters should cast their votes in this great yagya of democracy. No infiltrators should vote, there should be no booth capturing, and no voting in the name of dead voters. BJP workers will act as vigilant watchmen at every booth."
