News Topical, Digital Desk : The Election Commission of India announced the election dates for five states: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry on Sunday (March 15). Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has announced its intention to contest the elections and has also announced its alliance partners.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) working president Tejashwi Yadav has announced that he will contest the elections with the ruling LDF. Tejashwi Yadav said on Sunday (March 15) that his party will contest the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections as part of the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF).
Tejashwi Yadav will fight against Congress and UDF
Tejashwi Yadav is contesting against the Congress and the LDF in this election. The LDF is facing the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). The announcement that Tejashwi Yadav will contest against the LDF has caused a political storm.
The decision was taken in a meeting with RJD MLAs.
The former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar made this announcement after a meeting with MLAs from the RJD-led Grand Alliance. It is worth noting that voting for five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar is scheduled for Monday (March 16). Consequently, a tussle is being witnessed over the fifth seat in the state.
Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM and the Bahujan Samaj Party appear to be playing the role of kingmakers in this seat. If both parties support the NDA or the Grand Alliance, victory will be assured. Therefore, all eyes are on Owaisi and the BSP MLAs.
What did Tejaswi Yadav say about Kerala elections?
Tejashwi Yadav said, "Our party will contest the assembly elections in Kerala as part of the LDF. Our party has previously been present in the Kerala Assembly. We hope to help the LDF retain power in the state. The Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) are rivals in Kerala, but are allies in Bihar as part of the Grand Alliance."
