Ameesha urged Zakir on social media not to spread negativity, as the Hindi film industry has valued and respected the Aditya Dhar directorial.

Ameesha, on her X handle, gave examples of actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sunny Deol and Hrithik Roshan, who had given mega hits before 'Dhurandhar'.

During an event, Zakir said, "No matter how many congratulatory posts you post, how many stories you share, how many interviews you say my favorite film is, the truth is that everyone is jealous of Dhurandhar. He further said, 'The bomb in the film exploded in Lyari, but the smoke blew from Bandra to Juhu.'

Dhurandhar has received praise from stars from Bollywood to the South, with Ameesha Patel also praising Dhurandhar: The Revenge on X. She wrote, "Eye-opening. The industry's appreciation for Dhurandhar is wow, and the brand deserves all the praise. The industry needs to understand that Aditya made a film, not a project, and cast actors, not Instagrammers who trend at parties. Stop making projects and start making films."

Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, Gaurav Gera, Manav Gohil and others in lead roles. The film was released in theatres on March 19, 2026.
