A deranged young man suddenly threw a flammable substance at a young woman and fled the scene. The incident caused a stir in the village. Family members immediately rushed the victim to the district hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case against the accused, a resident of Moradabad. The incident occurred in Siswari village, under the Walterganj police station area. It is being reported that the accused, Salim, a resident of Moradabad, targeted the young woman due to a personal grudge or a one-sided dispute. The woman was in her room when the accused, through the woods outside, threw a flammable liquid on her.
Flammable substance thrown in the face
The young woman's face, neck, and chest were hit. She began experiencing severe burning. Her family immediately took her to the district hospital for treatment. By the time villagers and relatives arrived at the scene after hearing her cries, the attacker had managed to escape. The accused is said to be a tile mason. He had come from Moradabad to work in the village, installing tiles in several houses.
Meanwhile, he is said to be close to the young woman. Upon receiving information about the incident, local police arrived at the scene and collected evidence. Based on a complaint from the victim's family, Walterganj police have registered a case under relevant sections against the accused, Salim, a resident of Moradabad. A police team is conducting raids in search of the accused.
City Superintendent of Police Satyendra Bhushan Tiwari has formed teams to arrest the accused and said that he will soon be behind bars. The young woman has been given first aid. She suffered first-degree burns (superficial burns). Fortunately, the flammable substance was not very intense or did not fall directly on sensitive areas of the face. Currently, the victim's condition is normal and out of danger.
