AI films are making their mark on the global stage

After technology, education, and healthcare, the Indian film industry has now joined the race for artificial intelligence (AI). Recently, the Indian AI-produced film "Kaliyug Rising" secured 10th place in the Hicksfield Make Your Action Competition, proving that Indian AI films are gaining popularity globally.

This film was made in 86 hours.

In this film, a South Asian boxing ring has been created with the help of AI, where the hero goes to fight to save his wife's life. Furthermore, the characters in the film have also been created with the help of AI. Saha said that traditional processes were used in making this film, only AI was used in production and post-production. This saved both cost and time. Most importantly, this film took only 86 hours to make.

The film is a collaboration between Imagine If Studios and producer-director Pratya Saha. Studio founder Krishna and AI artist Ankush Deva played key roles in the film's creation. According to the studio, the project began with short experimental videos that garnered over 60 million views in just a few weeks. This success ignited a new direction for AI-based filmmaking. The producers say that the combination of AI and live-action is shaping the future of filmmaking.

AI cannot replace emotions

Pratya Saha said, "Yes, it's certain that AI can never replace human emotions. While it can't create human facial expressions, it can work wonders by altering non-living things. In the future, the industry may see a convergence of traditional filmmaking methods and new technologies. This is called the hybrid model."

During an AI summit held a few months ago, filmmaker Rana Daggubati said, "Earlier, filmmaking was limited to paper and sketches, but now with the help of AI, film parts can be visualized before shooting. This will make creativity more clear."
