Hyderabad: A case has come to light where a pregnant woman was delivered by the conductor and a nurse in a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus.

This incident happened on Monday on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Actually, a woman named Sandhya was going from Gadwal to Wanaparthi with her brothers to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. As soon as the bus reached near Nachanhalli village, the woman suddenly started having labor pains.

The conductor stopped the bus on the roadside

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, conductor G Bharti immediately stopped the bus on the side of the road. Fortunately, there was a nurse travelling in the same bus. Both the nurse and Bharti helped Sandhya to give birth to the baby. Later, the mother and the baby were taken to the local hospital in a 108 ambulance.

TSRTC appreciates the conductor

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation appreciated conductor Bharati for her service. TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar said, "Bharati's quick response and the nurse's expertise showcased the service spirit of RTC employees who go beyond their duties to ensure the safety of their passengers."
