Hyderabad: Well-known actor of the Malayalam film industry Vinayakan was detained by the police at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGI) in Hyderabad. The incident took place at the airport gate, due to which the actor was taken into custody. Speaking to the media, Inspector K. Balaraju of the RGI Airport Police Station said that the incident took place around 6 pm.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) inspector said Vinayakan, who had arrived from Kochi on an IndiGo flight and was to go to Goa, was drunk and was behaving indecently with the airport gate staff. The CISF then handed Vinayak over to the RGI airport police.
The actor is shouting while sitting on the ground
A video of him is going viral on social media, in the viral video Vinayakan is seen sitting on the floor of the airport without a shirt. In the video, he can be seen sitting on the ground and shouting loudly and also harassing people passing by. Everyone is shocked by this kind of action of the actor.
The actor was drunk
A case has been registered against him under the City Police Act. Inspector Balaraju confirmed the matter and said, "The actor was under the influence of alcohol and created a lot of disturbance. A case has been registered against him accordingly."
Vinayakan has received several awards for his acting, including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his role in 'Maheshinte Prathikaram'. His recent projects include Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer', 'Kammatti Padam', 'Oruthi' and others.
