News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has emerged from Mysuru, Karnataka. The body of a Range Forest Officer (RFO) was found in a conservation area behind a private lodge. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Kantraj Chauhan, who worked as the Range Forest Officer at the T. Narsipur Social Forestry Range.
According to police, Kantraj Chauhan's body was found in a conservancy behind a private lodge on Mother Teresa Road (BN Road), near the KSRTC bus stand. Upon receiving information, Mysore City Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
The transfer took place 15 days ago.
The deceased, Kantraj Chauhan, was originally from Indi in Vijayapura district. Police said he had been transferred to T. Narsipur just 15 days ago. His sudden death has caused a stir within the Forest Department.
Friend missing, police suspect
Another mysterious aspect has emerged in this case. Chauhan's friend, Mallanagouda Patil, a resident of Gangavathi, has been missing since the incident. According to police, Mallanagouda Patil had rented a room at the lodge, while Kantraj Chauhan had visited him on Sunday night.
Room evacuated after drunken brawl
Police said the two young men were reportedly intoxicated and had made a mess in the lodge room. Lodge staff then asked them to vacate the room around 2:30 a.m. Shortly thereafter, Kantraj Chauhan's body was found in the conservancy area behind the lodge. Mallanagouda Patil was not present at the scene when the body was recovered.
