News Topical, Digital Desk : The devastating effects of speeding were evident in Mahoba when a roadways bus from the Hamirpur depot collided with a truck parked on the roadside. The impact was so severe that passengers on the bus screamed and several others were injured. A total of nine passengers, including three women, were reportedly injured in the accident.

According to preliminary information, the bus driver fell asleep while driving, losing control of the vehicle, and the bus collided directly with the truck. Police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident and, with the help of local residents, all the injured were immediately transported to the hospital, where the condition of two of the injured is reported to be critical.

According to reports, a tragic road accident occurred near the Khanij barrier on the Kanpur-Sagar Highway in the Kabrai police station area of ​​Mahoba district. A Hamirpur depot roadways bus numbered UP78 KT 2575, traveling from Kanpur to Mahoba, lost control and slammed into a truck parked on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the front of the bus was severely damaged, causing panic among the passengers. At the time of the accident, dozens of passengers, including women, children, and the elderly, were aboard the bus.

The accident occurred due to the negligence of the driver

Injured passengers reported that the bus was moving at a high speed and the driver suddenly dozed off, causing him to lose control. Upon receiving information about the incident, Kabrai Police Station in-charge Satyavendra Singh arrived at the scene with police. Acting swiftly, the police immediately admitted all nine injured to the Kabrai Community Health Center using an ambulance and a police vehicle. The injured included Nazra Khatoon from Mahoba, Jaikaran from Mavai, Jairam from Maudaha, Shanku from Ratwa, Jashoda and Hridayansh from Kanpur, Achhelal from Khajuraho, Siddharth, and 75-year-old Lalliram. Injured passenger Jaikaran stated that the accident occurred due to the driver's negligence, putting the lives of the passengers at risk.

Two seriously injured were referred to the district hospital.

Doctors referred Siddharth and Lalliram to the district hospital after first aid, considering their critical condition. Police have seized the accident vehicles and have also detained the accused bus driver and initiated an investigation.
