News Topical, Digital Desk : MP News : Three people who had descended into a well to save a calf in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday died due to suspected poisonous gas, while the condition of two is critical. Officials gave this information. Officials said that this incident took place in Dharnavada village where 6 people had descended into the well to save a calf. 

Guna Collector Kishor Kanyal said the incident took place around 11 am. He said, 'According to preliminary information, six people had descended into the well to rescue the calf. Three of them died, while two others were rescued in critical condition and were rushed to Guna District Hospital. Only one person out of the six was able to come out safely.

Death suspected to be due to carbon monoxide poisoning

The collector said that prima facie, the three died due to suspected carbon monoxide gas. He said that the matter is being investigated. He said that there is about 12 feet of water in the well, due to which the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit of GAIL, State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDRF) and teams from various agencies faced difficulties in the rescue operation.

Police Gail's CISF unit, SDERF team is trying to rescue the people who have gone down the well. Collector Kishore Kumar Kanyal and SP Ankit Soni also reached the spot. After the incident, angry people surrounded the collector's car.
