1) South Korea (South Korea)

Like India, South Korea too got independence on 15th August. It got independence from Japan on 15th August 1945. Hence, this day is celebrated as a national holiday in South Korea. Let us tell you, America and Soviet forces had liberated Korea from Japanese occupation.

2) North Korea

3) Bahrain

4) Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein was liberated from German occupation on 15 August 1866. Since 1940, Liechtenstein, one of the smallest countries in the world, also celebrates its Independence Day on this day like India.

5) कॉन्गो (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

On 15 August 1960, the African country Congo became independent from France. After this it became the Democratic Republic of Congo. Let us tell you, when it was under French occupation, it was known as French Congo. Let us tell you, France had occupied Congo since the year 1880.
