This film is JSK - Janaki V v/s State of Kerala which was released in theatres just a month ago. Despite great ratings, the movie could not survive in theatres for even a month and has been released on OTT.

Malayalam courtroom drama JSK - Janaki V vs State of Kerala was released in theaters on 17 July 2025. Earlier it was scheduled to release on 20 June 2025, but after a controversy arose over the name of the film Janaki, it was facing difficulty in getting passed by the censor board. The film was two days away from completing a month of its release in theaters, but taking advantage of the long weekend, the makers have already streamed it.

JSK is a courtroom thriller drama that grossed an overall Rs 5 crore at the box office. However, these are not official figures. The earnings may not be good, but IMDb has given this 2 hour 34 minute film a rating of 7.2. If you are planning to watch this movie, then it is streaming on ZEE5 from August 15.
What is the story of the film?
The story of the film revolves around a girl named Janaki who faces many difficulties in search of justice for herself. Then there is a shocking turn in her life and the pages that open after that are surprising. This is the story of a girl being sexually assaulted and a lawyer standing against the system which is enough to keep you hooked till the end. The film stars Suresh Gopi and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. It is directed by Praveen Narayanan.
