News Topical, Digital Desk : A court in Kota has sentenced 12 members of the same family to life imprisonment. Eight years ago, these individuals had a dispute with a neighbor over a goat. Two young men, Ishtiaq and Yashpal, who had come to resolve the dispute were attacked with knives, sticks, and sharp weapons. Ishtiaq was seriously injured.

He subsequently succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital. After hearing the case, the court delivered its verdict, sentencing all the accused, 10 men and 2 women, to life imprisonment. Additional Sessions Judge Shweta Sharma also imposed a fine of 13,000 rupees on each of the accused.

The incident was carried out in 2018

Lawyer Riaz Ahmed said the case dates back to August 31, 2018. Ishtiaq Hussain was killed in the attack. On Thursday, the main accused, Ramzani (57), his wife Farzana (43), their sons Mukhtar (31), Mushtaq (29), and eight others, all from the same family, were sentenced to life imprisonment in the eight-year-old murder case.

Apart from the main accused, the court also convicted Mubarik Ali (26), Saddam Khan (32), Shaheen Khanam (37), Shahrukh alias Langda (26), Zaheer Khan (35), Naeemuddin alias Shoaib (26), Shahadat alias Bhaiyyu (30) and Shahrukh (32) and sentenced them to life imprisonment.

Attacked during conversation

The deceased Ishtiaq's cousin, Zahid Hussain, filed the case. He stated that his uncle, Abdul Aziz, alias Pappu, was having a dispute with his neighbor, Ramzani, over a goat. To resolve the dispute, Ishtiaq Hussain, alias Guddu, and his friends, Yashpal and Kalu, alias Kamaljeet, went to Ramzani's house. During the discussion, Yashpal and Ishtiaq went to a nearby shop.

Ishtiaq was the only son of a retired ASI.

Meanwhile, the accused attacked him with knives, sticks, and sharp weapons. Ishtiaq Hussain was seriously injured in the attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he died during treatment.

It should be noted that the police arrested all the accused at different times and presented charge sheets in court. Based on a lengthy trial and evidence, the court sentenced all of them to life imprisonment. Ishtiaq's father is a retired ASI and Ishtiaq was his only son.
