Attacking the BJP and the Centre, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut mocked the ruling party's nationalism and patriotism.
They broke the TV and shouted slogans
Raut said that BJP's Hindutva is a farce. According to Mumbai State Bureau, Raut has said that there is anger among the common people of the country regarding this match. 'Is the money earned in the match more important than the lives of citizens?'
Ashok Pandit, President of the Indian Film and Television Directors Association, opposed the match and called it a black day for the country and said that cricketers should be ashamed, money is not everything.
Sports has its own discipline and quorum: Manohar Lal
According to Karnal correspondent, Union Minister Manohar Lal said that sports in the world have their own discipline and quorum. These matches are not being held in Pakistan but in Dubai.
He said that Operation Sindoor was carried out in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which was a big task. It has been praised everywhere. Even today we have warned the enemies that a strong response will be given in case of any unholy act. It is not that enmity with Pakistan has to be maintained permanently. Yes, we have some conditions. Pakistan will have to end terrorism and return enslaved Jammu and Kashmir to India. If Pakistan accepts these conditions, there is no problem in building good relations.
According to PTI, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hit back at the Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh), saying, "Some people show fake patriotism and opportunistic love for the country. The armed forces and Prime Minister Modi are there to look after the sindoor."
The BJP accused Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray of hypocrisy over his call to boycott the match and questioned his alliance with the Congress.
The pain of the victims of Pahalgam spilled out
Family members of the victims of the Pahalgam attack criticized the government for the match. Sawan Parmar, who lost his father and brother in the attack, expressed his anguish over the match and said that Operation Sindoor now seems useless. There should be no relationship of any kind with Pakistan. If you want to play the match, then bring back my 16-year-old brother.
His mother Kiran Yatish Parmar questioned PM Modi that if Operation Sindoor has not been completed yet, then why is this match being organised. The wounds of the victim families have not yet healed.
Asawari Jagdale, daughter of Santosh Jagdale, a victim of the attack, said that this is very shameful. It has not even been six months since the Pahalgam incident. After that Operation Sindoor happened. I feel bad that despite all this, BCCI has no shame in organizing the match.
