In the meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party's legislative party, Atishi has been nominated as the new Chief Minister of Delhi. The party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal himself had proposed Atishi's name. With this, Atishi is going to be the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. However, as soon as this news came out, a ruckus has started regarding Atishi's family. Atishi's parents are even being accused of supporting terrorists. So let's know some special things about Delhi's new CM Atishi.

Who are Atishi's parents?

The name of the mother of Delhi's new Chief Minister Atishi is Tripta Wahi and the name of her father is Vijay Singh. According to reports, Vijay Singh belongs to the Rajput community of Punjabi origin. Both Atishi's parents have been professors at Delhi University. According to reports, both Tripta Wahi and Vijay Singh were left-wing leanings. Therefore, they gave Atishi the nickname Marlena which is derived from Marx and Lenin. However, Atishi has removed the word Marlena from her name.

Accused of supporting Afzal Guru

In fact, Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has opened a front against Atishi. Swati has said - "The Chief Minister of Delhi is being made a woman whose family fought a long battle to save terrorist Afzal Guru from hanging. Her parents wrote mercy petitions to the Honorable President to save terrorist Afzal Guru. According to them, Afzal Guru was innocent and he was trapped under a political conspiracy. Although Atishi Marlena is just a 'dummy CM', still this issue is related to the security of the country. May God protect Delhi!"

More allegations by Swati Maliwal

Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has also accused Atishi's parents of having links with SAR Geelani. Swati wrote on X - "Aatishi Marlena's parents had deep links with SAR Geelani. Geelani was accused of having a hand in the attack on Parliament. In 2016, he organised a programme in the Press Club of Delhi in memory of Afzal Guru. In that programme, Atishi Marlena's parents were on stage with Geelani. Slogans were raised in this programme - "If you kill one Afzal, lakhs will be born", "Kashmir demands freedom". Atishi Marlena's parents have written an article titled "Arrest and torture of Syed Geelani".

It is my responsibility to raise my voice- Swati Maliwal

Swati Maliwal has said that being a Delhi MP, it is my responsibility to raise the voice of Delhi and the country. It will never happen that my Delhi falls into the hands of terrorist Afzal Prem and I sit silent. Swati further said that you can say whatever you want against me, but you will have to answer for your relationship with terrorist Afzal.
