Amid the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India has achieved a major milestone in maritime security. The Indian Navy's latest indigenous guided missile destroyer, INS Surat, has successfully hit a target at sea. This is an important milestone in strengthening the Navy's defense capabilities. This achievement reflects the Indian Navy's growing capability in indigenous warship design, development and operation and underlines the nation's commitment to self-reliance in defense manufacturing.

In case of a missile attack, INS Surat is capable of identifying enemy missiles on its own and shooting them down in the air or water. This further strengthens India's maritime border. Most of India's border touches the sea. In such a situation, this achievement becomes even more important.

Indian Navy shared the video

Sharing the video of the successful test of INS Surat, the Indian Navy wrote that this milestone is a testimony to the Indian Navy's unwavering commitment to protect the country's maritime interests and dedication to self-reliant India. The Indian Navy's newest indigenous guided missile destroyer INS Surat successfully hit the target at sea with precision, proving to be another milestone in strengthening our defense capabilities.

Pakistan is also doing missile tests

News agency ANI quoted defence sources as saying, "Pakistan has issued a notification to test a surface-to-surface missile off the Karachi coast within its exclusive economic zone on April 24-25." The sources also said, "Indian agencies are keeping a close watch on all developments."

India imposes sanctions on Pakistan

Due to the involvement of Pakistan-backed terrorists in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India has taken five big decisions regarding Pakistan. India has asked all Pakistani citizens to leave the country. Along with this, the Attari border has been closed and the Indus Water Treaty has been canceled. Visas of Pakistani citizens have been stopped and the number of employees in the High Commission has been reduced from 55 to 30. Additional officials will have to leave India within seven days.
