News Topical, Digital Desk : After Netflix, Prime Video, the second largest streaming platform, has locked its streaming dates for 2026. It looks quite interesting in terms of storytelling and star cast.
Anand L Rai will be the producer of the film.
It was announced simultaneously at an event called It Starts Here. It also includes two Hrithik Roshan projects, Storm and Mess, and Yami Gautam's horror comedy Naye Naveli. Produced by Aanand L. Rai and directed by Balaji Mohan, the film will be a comedic blend of Indian mythology and folklore. Yami will be seen in a ferocious avatar.
The film's story is written by Divya Nidhi Sharma, who has previously worked on films like Sitare Zameen Par, Missing Ladies, and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. This is her second film with Anand, Nayi Naveli, after Nakhrewali.
Post production work is underway
The film's script is complete, and pre-production is currently underway. While there's no information available about Nayi Naveli's release date, it will premiere on the OTT platform Prime Video after its theatrical release. Yami previously appeared in Haq opposite Emraan Hashmi.
It's worth noting that this genre won't be entirely new for Yami Gautam. She previously starred in the 2021 film Bhoot Police, starring alongside Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Her latest film was the 2025 comedy Dhoom Dhaam, starring alongside Pratik Gandhi.
